Implementasi Kerja Sama Indonesia dengan Singapura bidang Financial Technology Tahun 2017-2020

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of financial technology cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore. This study will explain the impact of the corporation’s implementation as well as opportunities and challenges for both countries in financial technology. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach. Data is collected through interviews and literature review. The findings show that the Financial Services Authority, as the regulator of financial technology in Indonesia, has introduced many innovations for the financial technology industry in Indonesia. One of them is the regulatory sandbox, which has been applied to support and develop the financial technology industry in Indonesia. In addition to the sandbox, the exchange of information on market conditions in both countries is also important, especially for expanding into international markets in both countries. Singapore's assistance in introducing financial technology material into the university curriculum is also a realisation of the cooperation. The conclusion of this study is that the cooperation is very helpful for Indonesia, which is a country with a large potential financial technology market, to develop better. Therefore, this financial technology cooperation helps people to have access to financial services.

Abstrak

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui realisasi dari kerja sama teknologi finansial antara Indonesia dengan Singapura. Penelitian ini menjelaskan dampak dari implementasi kerja sama serta peluang dan tantangan bagi kedua negara dalam bidang FinTech. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan wawancara dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Otoritas Jasa Keuangan sebagai regulator FinTech di Indonesia telah banyak sekali mengadopsi beberapa inovasi bagi industri FinTech, salah satunya adalah regulatory sandbox yang sudah diaplikasikan untuk membantu dan mengembangkan industri FinTech. Selain sandbox, pertukaran informasi mengenai kondisi pasar di kedua negara juga merupakan hal yang penting untuk dapat melakukan ekspansi ke pasar internasional, khususnya kedua negara. Bantuan Singapura untuk membantu materi FinTech masuk ke dalam kurikulum perguruan tinggi juga merupakan realisasi dari kerja sama tersebut. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa kerja sama tersebut sangat membantu bagi Indonesia yang merupakan negara dengan potensi pasar FinTech besar untuk dapat berkembang dengan lebih baik lagi. Kerja sama FinTech secara mendasar berdampak dalam membantu masyarakat untuk dapat mengakses layanan jasa keuangan.
